Preschoolers are invited to join us in the Barn at Gore Place for special Story Times starting at 10am. The sessions are recommended for 3 and 4-year-olds, but all are welcome!

Park in our South Entrance by the farm!

April 3rd - Baa Baa!

Sheep have been important to humans for thousands of years.  During this Preschool Story Time, we will learn about the life of a sheep and how they are cared for at Gore Place.  We will read books about sheep and will make wooly crafts.  Afterward, we will visit the farm to watch how the sheep behave.

May 1st - It’s Spring!

Our Take a Walk backpacks are full of fun spring activities, waiting for you and your child to join us for a special program.  We’ll start with a story, and then go outside and begin exploring together.  Activities include looking for spring colors, visiting the animals at the farm, building a Gore Place mansion with blocks and more.

June 5th - It’s Time to Plant!

It’s planting time at the Gore Place Farm!  During this Story Time at Gore Place, we will investigate the shapes and sizes of a variety of seeds.  Through stories, songs, and role-playing, we will explore what a plant needs to grow and the job of different plant parts.   Afterward, we will head outside to plant our own seeds to take home.
